The odd (loop, angle, slant) defense is an aggressive, penetrating defense that relies on speed and quickness. It is easy to teach, fun to play, and causes confusion with opponents' blocking schemes and pass reads. Ideally, the defense consists of three down linemen, two inside linebackers, and six secondary players including one anchor, one wild card, two corners, and two safeties.
